Tell SLA: Who are the Rising Stars? The new Fellows?

It’s time to let everyone know where the talent and dedication is. Please consider one (or more!) of your colleagues for recognition as a Rising Star or SLA Fellow.

The SLA Rising Star Award is presented annually to new members who show exceptional promise of leadership and contribution to the association and profession.  Up to five Rising Stars may be recognized each year. Each should have from one to five years of professional experience as an information professional. Nominations are due to SLA HQ by 15 November 2012. The nomination form used for all association awards is online at http://www.sla.org/content/SLA/awardsrecognition/allforms.cfm .

SLA Fellows are SLA members recognized for leadership in their career as an information professional. Fellowship is bestowed on mid-career SLA members in recognition of past, present and future service to the Association and the profession. Up to five new Fellows may be recognized each year. Nominations are due to SLA HQ by 15 November 2012. The nomination form used for all association awards is online at http://www.sla.org/content/SLA/awardsrecognition/allforms.cfm .
