Congratulations to Peggy Garvin

Congratulations to former Government Information Division Chair Peggy Garvin, who won the Dow Jones Leadership Award at the SLA 2011 Annual Conference in Philadelphia. As the title suggestions, the award is given each year to SLA members who exemplify leadership in their professional and personal capacities. As those in the division who have worked with her know, Peggy is a very deserving winner of this award.

Other DGI members who were recognized by SLA at this year’s conference were James King, who was named a Fellow of SLA, and Lynne McCay, who won the John Cotton Dana Award.
